Della Gertrude Jarboe Barney Carl Ream Married 7/4/1942 Barney Ream was a World War I Veteran. Della was a nurse. In April, 1939, Della accepted appointment as public health nurse for five Northwest Missouri counties with the state department of public health. Her headquarters were at Cameron, Missouri. Later she would live in Kansas City, Missouri for many years. Della and Barney had one son: Tom: Thomas Adelbert Ream 9/17/1943 - 9/13/1985
Obituary for Della: Funeral services for Della Jarboe Ream, 66, formerly of Kansas City, were today at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Rev. Richard Hunkins officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Shelbina. Mrs. Ream died Friday in a Fulton hospital. She was born Feb. 21, 1908 in St. Anthony, N.D. to James Adelbert and Gertrude Lee Bell Jarboe. She was married July 15, 1942 in Unionville to Barney Ream and he preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Thomas Adelbert Ream, Key West, Fla.; six sisters, Mrs. Charles (Bernadette) Kelly and Mrs. Clifford (Josephine) Gander, both of Monroe City, Mrs. Otis (Frances) Buckman, Shelbina, Mrs. Harry (Anna Lou) Jones, Bridger, Mont., Mrs. Gerald (Kathleen) Montgomery, St. Louis, Mrs. Orville (Lillian) Hagan, Seguin, Tex.; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ream was a graduate of Holy rosary High School and St. John's School of Nursing, St. Louis. She was an instructor at St. Theresa College School of Nursing in Kansas City. She had previously worked with the muncipal health department in St. Louis, was supervisor of St. Francis Hospital, in Honolulu, Hawaii and was a public health nurse in Grundy County.
