Much of the data in this website comes from JA (Julius Augustine) Buckman who has put together a lot of family tree and historical research on the Jarboe/Buckman part of the family.   JA has been a great historian of the Jarboe/Bell/Buckman side of the family for many years and should be highly honored for his great efforts and high degree of detail.  However, I encourage you to double check the names, dates and spellings I have included from JA's research.  As helpful as it is, it has not been absolutely 100% guaranteed to be without flaw.  As Guy Buckman told his kids, if you want your names spelled right or the dates to be right, you need to take a look at what is here and let me know if it's not right.

Another strong source is my sister-in-law Elizabeth Ketsenburg Gander who has worked very hard to consolidate family data and who has lead the effort to restore the Jarboe/Worland/Hamilton Cemetery in Old Clinton, Missouri.  I really encourage you to visit the upgraded family cemetery.

Rosalie Jarboe Carlson's son Monty Carlson is also a dedicated family genealogist who contributes greatly to the professionalism of the site and is forever pointing out new leads.

A great big thank you is also due to Zachary March who uploaded the pictures and recipes he scanned in for Madge's Tip Top Dairy cookbook.  This was a great step forward and is the reason why your family might feel slighted relative to Aunt Frances or Cliff and Jo Gander.  It's not because I love Aunt Frances or my own family more.   I just had material more easily available for those two families.  I really want all of you to bombard me with e:mails and snail mail of photos for your own families so the site won't seem so unbalanced.  If you can't scan in photos, I promise I will scan and mail back your originals ASAP.  To me, photos make the website really interesting.

Not to be forgotten are the many helpers among the cousins  who are tremendously helpful in tracking down those elusive second and third cousins we haven't heard from for a while.  You are becoming too numerous to mention but all of your efforts are greatly appreciated.  As long as we have at least one member of each family who really cares, we won't lose track of each other.

I have also confirmed and enriched the content here with the memories of my parents Clifford and Josephine Jarboe Gander.  They both have an excellent sense of history and a strong control of the facts.

Additionally, I am well equipped with the memories/stories/legends that were so entrenched in the family get-togethers.  For, at the end of it all, these families liked to get together.  If the normal holidays weren't enough, we invented "holidays" like the annual "February Dinner" which was a communal birthday party for a large number of family members born in February.
